This is a wonderful book for both adults and children. It is about a little girl in Sweden who is living with her sad dysfunctional family. They are staying with her great-grandmother who is on her deathbed. The magic begins when the youngest child enters a wardrobe filled with mirrors and is carried to another world in the past. Good changes begin to happen to the family. This book is honest and poignant and the illustrations are excellent. I wish there were more books translated into English written by this author, but this seems to be the only one. I highly recommend this book to all ages! This is a wonderful book for both adults and children. It is about a little girl in Sweden who is living with her sad dysfunctional family. This was very entertaining and there is no way you could anticipate what was going to happen. The characters were super colorful as was the film in general.

It was a fun idea, but it was hard for me to read. There were too many subplots and unimportant characters and the whole thing was a little far fetched. The ending was disappointing too. But it did show how wacko Google and its employees are, so that was interesting. I totally agree with WYENOTGO's comments below. It was a fun idea, but it was hard for me to read. This was my absolute favorite. The way she describes the underworld Latino culture in LA is priceless and totally hilarious. Sue Grafton is always entertaining!

As usual, Sue Grafton is the absolute best. Her books are always funny, well-crafted and just a damned good read! I loved the homeless characters in this book.

I know many people love Elizabeth George, but I find her very contrived and boring. A Californian writer pretending to be British is just a little too much for me. The way she throws around the English "lingo" is laughable, and not in a good way.

It was very readable, but I think that Tana French is not very good at endings. In a mystery, in my opinion, you need to really wow people at the end. So although her book on the whole was gripping, to me the ending was a bit of a bore.

The ending was extremely disappointing. I think that Tana is a bit long winded, although actually a very good writer who totally sucks her readers in, but the reader also has to invest a lot of emotional energy into reading her books, and then for the ending of this mystery to be unsolved was really a letdown to me.The ending was extremely disappointing. I thought this was a terrible interpretation of the book. Very crass and not what the author intended at all. A real disappointment.

This book is totally nuts. For one thing it seems to be written by a ghostwriter and the killer, although of course she says her husband did it. The lady is so weird, and the pictures are just of her and the bedroom of where the murder took place. Totally bizarre. I don't know how this book got into print!!!This book is totally nuts. Great translation. This is a fun book, and shows what it was like to be a Roman during the early first centuries AD. Funny earthy stories and interesting!

This novel is definitely not the truth about Taos in the 1930's, but the author does a lot of name-dropping so if you want to look up the players in this novel and see who they REALLY were, this is a good source for names. Basically the author is trying to make the gay protagonist in this story much more important than he actually was in real life. I think this would be more aptly called "The Taos Fiction Game".This novel is definitely not the truth about Taos in the 1930's, but the author does a lot of name-dropping so if you want to look up the players in this novel and see who they REALLY were, this is a good source for names. I always was suspicious of the story of "Sybil", and this book exposes the fraud completely. Basically, the psychiatrist, the patient and the author of the book were liars. Connie Wilbur (the psychiatrist) seemed to be a particularly sadistic women to boot. It's scary what is done in the name of that pseudo-science. The doctors have absolute control over their patients and don't have any idea what they are doing.
