I do recommend that parents and teachers allow their children to read this book just because the book could help students cope with their parents being away from home. But, it was not a very interesting book at most parts. Most students will love the recipes and things of that nature but, probably not the actual book itself. I was bored at most parts and ready to finish the book but, I loved the idea behind the book. The girl connected her favorite foods to other things she learned and loved. I would love to also try some of the recipes at the end of the chapters.I do recommend that parents and teachers allow their children to read this book just because the book could help students cope with their parents being away from home. I recommend that all parents and teachers allow their children to read this book. It is a great book with great background knowledge. It offers a child to learn about egyptian history. It also gives facts about how the egyptians communicated during their time. This is an exciting book for children who love to draw because it tells about how the egyptians drew pictures that we now see today. A teacher could even create a lesson on this topic such as having their students draw some of the symbols they saw to communicate with their peers. I believe any child would enjoy reading this book because of the animals portrayed in the story.I recommend that all parents and teachers allow their children to read this book. This is an excellent story for many children. Not only does it teach children to do what they are told but, it gives children a different perspective of life. I do believe and recommend parents to allow their children to read this chapter book. It opens children's minds to learning about death differently. This would be a great book on how children could cope with death instead of being sad about it. This book gives children a funny and humorous way to looking at death. It also portrays the adventures of being a creative writer. This would be a mind blowing book for many children. This is an excellent story for many children.
