The narrator's voice was way to american, even when they were specifically talking about Englanders. The book fell short of my expectations.

My favorite childhood story. Still just as captivating, if not more.
Summary:
"Based upon Sir James M. Barrie's 1904 play about the boy who refuses to grow up, the film begins in the London nursery of Wendy, John, and Michael Darling, where three children are visited by Peter Pan. With the help of his tiny friend, the fairy Tinkerbell, Peter takes the three children on a magical flight to Never Land. This enchanted island is home to Peter, Tink, the Lost Boys, Tiger Lily and her Native American nation, and the scheming Captain Hook who is as intent on defeating Peter Pan as he is from escaping the tick-tocking crocodile that once ate a hand of his that Peter Pan cut off--and loved the taste of so much. - I had it then. Soda fought for fun, Steve for hatred, Darry for pride, and Two-Bit for conformity. Why do I fight? I thought, and I couldn't think of a real good reason. There isn't any real good reason for fighting except self-defense.

This book was great! Salinger is a great storyteller, and one of my favorite authors. Simply put, the short stories embodied well-rounded character and scenario sketches (plausible) with enough detail to bring the stories to life. I'd recommend it to anyone who liked Catcher in The Rye.This book was great! Salinger is a great storyteller, and one of my favorite authors. - There's such a lot of different Annes in me. I sometimes think that is why I'm such a troublesome person. If I was just the one Anne it would be ever so much more comfortable, but then it wouldn't be half so interesting.

I felt that the essence of the plot was recycled: girl goes to boarding school discovers she's a witch/discovers she can see ghost/discovers she has a doppelganger. Nevertheless, what makes this book different than the others is the time period, and the struggles that accompany it. I also liked the main character of Gemma Doyle who was strong and persuasive. I won't read any sequels, but there are still some pieces to complete the story.I felt that the essence of the plot was recycled: girl goes to boarding school discovers she's a witch/discovers she can see ghost/discovers she has a doppelganger. Amazing storyline, so creative and imaginative -Kelley Armstrong has constructed a new world that I am excited to explore in future novels. However if I didn't know it, I would have never guessed that Armstrong was the author because the writing style is unlike her other popular book series for teens (Darkest Powers and Darkness Rising).Amazing storyline, so creative and imaginative -Kelley Armstrong has constructed a new world that I am excited to explore in future novels. My first John Le Carré book, and definitely not my last. It's one of the best spy books I've read, although it seemed as if the main character didn't have a plan until about halfway through the book. - "Leamas watched him take a cigarette from the box on the table, and light it. He noticed two things: that Peters was left-handed, and that once again he had put the cigarette in his mouth with the maker's name away from him, so that it burns first. Dr. Moalem shares the revolutionary thinkings of the 21st century on genetics -a fascinating field. With its simplicity, it doesn't take a doctor to understand these complex situations. Heck, you don't even have to be an adult!

One of the best book I've read all summer! I really enjoy Greek mythology and legends; I've read all the Percy Jackson books to date. Same pull, but clearly a more mature and girl oriented series.
