This documentary follows the attempts of an eccentric LA thrift shop owner to capture the ever-elusive Banksy at work---only to have the mischievous artist turn the camera back on him with hilarious results. Relentlessly entertaining!

this film is about Thierry Guetta, it's only peripherally about Banksy, and Thierry Guetta, or Mister Brainwash, as he calls himself, is not at all Banksy

I preferred the part of the documentary specifically about Banksy called “B Movie”, located in DVD Extras. I would have liked the documentary to be about Banksy and not instead about the art or transformation of Thierry, aka MBW or “Mr.…
This documentary took an unexpected turn. It's not entirely about Banksy. There seems to be a phenomenon of overnight artists with their so called art... I can't believe Thierry made so much money, it's like a bad joke or something.

Interesting. But more a more eclectic and wider collection of artists and viewpoints about the movement would have been much better.

Whether you love or hate street art, this movie will make you love and hate street art. I sincerely hope that Mr. Brainwash never makes another dollar in his life off of his "art".

This is a stroke of genius. Many have "embraced" the street art movement, few seen to actually fully understand it, which in itself the beauty of it. This film is fun and entertaining and a jab at counterculture gone pseudo mainstream…

Introduction to guerilla, street art. Will give some history on Banksy, if you don't know anything about him. By the end, I don't know if the story about the street art film-maker/artist was true or not, but I found the movie very…

Especially appropriate for viewers who are trying to learn about or understand the nature, objectives, and proponents of street art--one of modernist culture's important movements.
Great movie. Great story.
At the end, I didn't know if it was a true story or not.
I loved that!
Also, it was interesting to get a view into the insular world of graffiti artists.

This is a fantastic documentary on the history and current state of the street art scene. It also gives the viewer a good perspective on the art market and how perception is everything and skill/quality is less important. In my opinion…

If you like street art/graffiti or are intrigued by it, you should see this film. Entertaining and funny, follow the exploits of Bansky, several street artists and the "videographer" who is quite eccentric himself. This unconventional…
Sorry, going to give this one a pass. Don't believe in glorifying these poor misunderstood Cowards of Culture who skulk in darkness to leave us their unwanted "tags."

Even if, like myself, you are not into street art per se, this film adds fuel to the persistent argument about 'what is art?'. The music is catchy and the story refreshingly new, surprising and funny.

Very entertaining with a great sound track and engaging story. Even though the premise is street art the real story is how gullible wealthy patrons can be duped into buying questionable art for exorbitant prices; based on slick promotion.…
