THIS was a delightful read! I've only read the first one, so far, but I'm sure I'm going to enjoy more of Nate's adventures in the near-future. You kind of know when you pick up the book you're in for a whirlwind roller coaster of a ride.…

Nate sure has a whole lot of spunk. He's got big Broadway dreams and he's not going to let anything stop him from going to New York for an open casting of Elliot in the new Broadway production of E.T. I really admire Nate's never ending…

This book is an absolute delight. Nate is a charming and hilarious narrator (seriously, I was laughing out loud on numerous occasions) and his quest is fun and exciting. It's a fun romp that is also very sweet and had me taking out the…

Laugh out loud funny. At first I was put off by all of Nate's loser talk, but I stuck with it and came to love Nate as the quirky, funny, sweet character he is. I'm not sure kids will get all of the humor, especially the jokes referring…

It's been a long time since I've read a children's book like this. It made me laugh out loud. On top of being very funny it is also a touching story about one young boy trying to figure out who he is. The book It's a must read!

This is one of the best books I read in 2013. Absolutely perfect for theater kids. I take great issue with the above mention of "immoral tone" - this is about a boy who loves musical theater. The word fag is used, and he mentions (very…

One star for plot, another for humor, a half for keeping interest. -2.5 for immoral tone. Seriously, this is supposed to be a kids book.

This book is LOADS of fun! The hero is funny, daring and honest. And the author knows the experience of coming to Broadway from a small town and finding a place to fit in, so he's writing from the heart, too. Recommend to 4th - 8th graders…
