I hesitate to leave a review because I cannot do justice to this book. This book has at least tied, if not beaten, "To Kill A Mockingbird" as my all time favorite. I want the chapter about heaven read at my funeral. I describe reading this book like eating really good chocolate cake - rich, with layers of deep flavor.
This is a wonderful and rich story of brothers, fathers, magical belief and loyalty. The audio is worth your time, the voice of the little sister will stick with you. I read and/or listen to this book every few years because I miss these characters.
My all time favorite book!!!! A MUST read!!!!! This author is the very best!
The Characters are interesting and well developed. The story is engaging and beautifully written. The style gave me an “old time feel” like it was written a few decades ago not recently. The writing has the feel and rhythm of a Large Montana ranch with expansive blue, blue skies.
This has become my alltime favorite book I strongly recommend it to anyone who likes a good story telling. The author has done an excellent job of making you feel you are there and can feel what is happening. I totally love this story.
This is a beautiful story written with a vocabulary that made you look up every word for the pure pleasure of seeing how the author was using it. I recommend it to everyone.
I think this book has some of the most beautiful writing I have ever read. It remains one of my favorites.
