When is Hamilton-Wentworth DSB going to bring ballroom dancing into the curriculum? Hurrah for New York City that they have it! Nice to see these children giving it their all (well, most of them) and nice to see the enthusiasm of the dance instructors, too. Could've done without the rather rambling musings of the children on which boys or girls are hot or who likes whom - didn't really add anything. The dancing was great to see, though - amazing what Grade 4/5 kids can do in one semester.
Have you not seen this film? Place a hold immediately! Very inspiring documentary on New York City's inner school ballroom dancing program (mandatory for all students) and the one team that outshone them all. My young children (particularly, my daughter) really enjoyed this also.
