It really was funny that the world was coming to an end and I still couldn't get any action.
I guess I always felt even if the world came to an end, McDonald’s would still be open.

Add a CommentMediocre writing and a boring plot. If you like books about the apocalypse, don't read this book. It's considerably the most boring apocalypse book I have ever read. It was oddly uneventful for being written at a time of crisis, and extremely predictable. Little research was done by Pfeffer to make a seemingly real and possible natural disaster. Oh well. If your into some serious reading, don't even pick this one up.
I was very intrigued by this book and the way Susan chose to write it; I'm not usually a fan of memoirs or types of tales written in that style, but then again, those books are usually non-fiction. This dystopian diary is absolutely amazing and it really pulls you in. Can't wait to read the next one.
amazing book!!!!! great read with an interesting story the whole way through, brilliant start to the trilogy and can't wait for the next one! :) MUST READ
BOOKS 2 U book.
Fantastic read! Written as a diary made it so much better because you could feel the emotion that Miranda and her family were going through. I freaked out when it said that Megan's mom hanged herself, but I guess she had her reasons. Difficult to read at times, but absolutely impossible to put down!
I have to say I loved this book. i read it while I was young tough but If I read it now I'll still love it. It's so instersting. I always love romance in books I mean depending how its written I usually do but thhey didn't put alot. it bothered me a tiny bit but it didn't matter. The whole situtation was so instersting. Writting it as a diary made it more emotional. I found it sad when her closets friends and family died. This book really shows how food water an survial are important. I liked it alot and i did not want it to end. Five Stars.
Maybe it's just me, but I absolutely hate books written as journal entries that contain pages and pages of dialogue. Who writes journals like that - NOBODY! If you want to write a book with a ton of dialogue, then write it as a regular novel. The story was decent, but the style irritated me.
The plot was sort of predictable but it was well written
not bad of a book and books have to intrest me for me to read it
I learned about this book that food and water is important. It should be not waste and i am so excited to read the second book. :D
