Add a CommentI really enjoyed this book. It reminds me of Margaret Peterson Haddix's writing, a little on the dark side but very well written, and sucks you in.
Although the writing in this book sometimes came across as a little forced, especially the dialogue, I enjoyed the plot. I'm addicted to post-apocalyptic stories and this was no exception. It actually made me cry when (SPOILER) her parents were taken away!
This is a very good book with an exciting story and a ending the will leave you breathless. The Other Side of the Island is definitely a 10/10 from me.
This is such a thrilling story - definitely the type of book that you don't want to put down! It's similar to many utopian/dystopian novels, but written in a way that kids can enjoy. I'm almost wishing for a sequel!
I really liked this book. I thought the ending left a little too much open but it was a good read
Although I'm usually not the one to read books with a girl as the main character, this one amazing! It's probably the best dystopian books I've ever read, way better then The Giver. This book will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end, and you won't believe the ending! A fast paced story that will make you want to read it all in one day. A 9.5/10 from me, check this one out!
