Comment
Add a CommentThis book is GREAT! If anyone is reading this I just wanted to tell you that this book is awesome. The beginning is a little bit boring because they try to get the setting and tell you about the background. After that though, it is a wonderful book.
This book made me laugh, made me angry, made me think and most importantly made me feel. At first I really didn't want to read this book but after my teacher "forced/coaxed" me into it I realized that she was right when she said that the simple premise held within it a tempest of complex insight into the human psyche and society. It is made even more fantastic because it is written through the eyes of a child and few things are ever as blunt and truthful as a child.
One of my all time favorites. First read it over 40 years ago and continue to re-read it to this day.
A++ All the way….A must have Book in all Libraries - worth the long library wait and WORTH the cost of owing!
One of the best books ever written; the fact that it is still read so widely and still informs so profoundly on the nature of prejudice and respect is a true testament to the brilliant writing of Harper Lee.
We are reading for school this year and I really liked it. Despite my age I really like all the classics. I am currently reading Oliver Twist.
My teacher made me read this book and I thought it would be really boring at first, but I liked it more than I expected. It was pretty good
I just read this in school, and was surprised to find that I love this book. Scout and Jem are loveable characters, Dill is so cute and then there is Atticus who is someone to admire. This story is really neat, because it's told from the perspective of a little girl (Scout) but you as the reader can still understand the adults and their postions, even if Scout doesn't because she is a child. It has such an important story to tell. This really is a classic! It's wonderful story.
At first I thought that this book would be very dull, because it was assigned for English, but by the time I was finished, I felt so in awe... so one word: "wow". P.S. It's my new favorite book!
yayyyyy... im going 2 read it :PP
