Parts of this book are great...the author does a good job on the first-person account and in graphically portraying the effects a zombie apocalypse would have on humanity. I only wish the author would have focused on more4 first hand accounts. Something like World War Z where we're hearing different points of view.

I think one needs a PhD in neurology to make any sense of this book. The concept is fascinating—and vaguely offensive—but the sheer volume and medical detail bogged me down almost immediately. I ended up skipping the appendixes in favor of saving my brain from impending zombification via stupification.
