Add a CommentI came late to this excellent series but highly recommend it. The writing is smart, elegant, witty & contemporary to it's time. The relationship between Mary & Holmes is believable despite their age difference as both are misfits of sorts. If you ever wondered what happened to Sherlock in his later years, start at the beginning and enjoy. Hopefully, there are many more to come.
On par in complexity and realism with Mary Russell's adventures in Israel of "O Jerusalem". This time, Mary and Sherlock were sent to India to help the British intelligence on a missing spy. Interesting narratives on India in the 1920's when the land was ruled by Great Britain and maharajahs.
Mary Russell and Sherlock Holmes in India. I enjoy this series.
I loved this book and the Author, I now am reading the entire series of Mary Russell and Sherlock Holmes. Well written!
