The 85-year-old Jiro Ono is considered by many to be the world's greatest sushi chef. He is the proprietor of a 10-seat sushi-only restaurant inauspiciously located in a Tokyo subway station. Despite its humble appearances, it is the first restaurant of its kind to be awarded a prestigious 3-star Michelin review, and sushi lovers from around the globe make repeated pilgrimages, calling months in advance and shelling out top dollar for a coveted seat at Jiro's sushi bar.

This is a fascinating look at the world's greatest sushi chef. But if you're not that into sushi, you might want to pick another movie instead. Lots of scenes of fish being gutted may turn squeamish viewers off.

Definitely not a great movie to pick up parenting tips but I loved this movie. Great visuals and a fuller account of one's life than you would normally get in a doc.

A fascinating and beautiful documentary about one of the world's greatest sushi chefs. I definitely learned a lot about the culture surrounding sushi. Also definitely spring for the Blu-Ray if you can - this one is gorgeous to watch.

A beautifully-shot love song to the art of sushi-making. A fascinating documentary about that gives insights about Japanese traditions and ways of thinking. I don't even like eating fish, but I still enjoyed this film thoroughly. Definitely not fast-paced, as someone mentioned earlier, but I was never bored.

This movie is awesome. I am allergic to fish, so I cannot eat it. However I still loved this movie. You get to know Jiro so well by the time it is over you feel connected. I would love to travel to such places but I wonder what I would eat?
