Add a CommentIf you enjoy Native American mythology, the use of Raven the trickster in this futuristic science fiction tale adds to the story. The story is set in the year 2098 when security has become more obtrusive and nature has become threatened and rare. Kelsa, whose father has recently died of cancer, is approached by Raven who needs a human to help him heal the blocked paths in the leys, which are similar to rivers of energy that run across several worlds, including ours. Humans have damaged the leys by their uncaring attitude toward nature and only a human can heal the damage. I enjoyed the story. It has lots of action and Kelsa and Raven are interesting characters. I'm glad that I didn't pick it up until the second book was out. I'm not sure it would have been easy to remember the storyline without having the second book, Traitor's Son, to complete the story.
Really good, but if your expecting romance, don't get your hopes up.
waste of time, poorly written, and i very much disliked the story line. hate is a strong word, and unfortunetly i legit hate this book
