I gave this 5 stars because it is very very informative. The information was presented in a way that allows you to make up your own mind. They do not tell you what to believe or how to think they let you make that decision for yourself. If you are the type of person that is looking for a way to change things in the world, this movie also gives you all the information you need to get involved.

March 24, 2014....just finished watching this, I think my mouth was hanging open most of the time, and I know I was close to tears at one point. What do I get from it? Corporate lies, and corporate greed win. Why am I shocked by this? It sure will be interesting to see how the attendance rates at the various Sea World's are in the next few years. It's going to end, I wonder how long it will take? One of the most riveting 80 minutes I have ever spent watching. Don't miss it.

Its sad how corporate greed abuses all creatures. These parks are prisons that abuse and mistreat all animals. I wish all the executive scumbags were covered in chum and put in the Pacific Ocean with the wild animals.

Sometimes the excitement of entertainment overshadows the sense of logic. I've seen whales in the wild and it is breathtaking. That is truly where they belong. After seeing Blackfish I would never consider going to Sea World. When we know better we should do better. Thanks to this film, now we know the inside details....behind the scenes...and the cover-ups. I believe the employees had been parroting what they were told. And many finally came to their senses after the death of a dearly beloved co-worker. I highly recommend watching Blackfish.

This was a very well done documentary. I found it interesting and informative. I was absolutely appalled at the stance of Sea World in response to the attacks, injuries and deaths of it's employees. I'm also disgusted that they obviously are money driven and have no idea about orcas, what they are like in the wild. Some things I was already aware of, but, I was surprised at a lot of things I saw in this film. I visited Sea World in Florida in the early 90's and was struck at how small the pools were that housed these huge orcas. I was naive I have to say and had no idea what the park was about until I visited. I vowed never to support a place like that again...not until it stopped using dolphins and orcas for performances and only provided rehabilitation in the short term, followed up by their release. I hope for a day when dolphins and orcas are not hunted down for meat and for captivity and would hope Seaworld sees the error of their ways and doesn't buy into these activities any more.

I never cared for zoos and aquariums and places like Sea World. I believe animals shouldn't be held captive. This movie has those kind of beliefs, too.

I didn't see much that was surprising in this movie. A very large carnivorous ocean predator may attack humans when kept confined in relatively small tank? People can't even keep dogs as pets without sometimes being attacked by them. Why would anyone think that killer whales could be kept without incident? I've never been to Sea World and could never understand the attraction. The movie exposes what should be obvious to anyone.
