Item Details

A documentary about eight competitors in the World Over-80 Table Tennis Championships in Inner Mongolia. They are all in their 80s and 90s; one Australian woman is a centurion. Most of the players have been athletes all their lives, but one woman took the sport up as an octogenarian after suffering a stroke. The advanced masters scene is like those in other sports, with rivalries, egomania and even dirty tricks. Losing doesn't get any less painful with age.

Downright inspirational! If anything can make someone change their notion of aging and sport it's this film. Despite the seemingly mundane subject matter this is a must see.
