HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Full 5 stars. Bit gruesome but that's part of the storyline. This book is very intense and seems to be moving slow. I almost gave up on it twice. But don't give up, lots of twists and ultimately a great read. One of…

A lot of murder in this book so if you doing like that I suggest you do not read it.

Excellent read. Unexpected twists. Loved the ending, it didn't leave you scratching your head trying to figure out what was going to happen next.

As usual, a gripping and somewhat disturbing thriller from Lisa Gardner. Halfway through, I thought this was going to be more predictable than usual. I was wrong.

One of the best DD Warren stories. I usually complain about overwhelming amounts of detail that doesn't move the story, but not in this one. Not five stars because the genetic abnormality and the nature/nurture just goes too far.

Excellent. One of her best books yet.

Another one knocked off my D.D. Warren catch-up list. A pair of interesting sisters as the main characters. One with a rare condition that prevents her from feeling any physical pain, but ironically is a pain management therapist. The…

DD Warren, BPD detective, goes back to a crime (murder) scene later that evening, and doesn't remember how she fell down the stairs, grievously injuring herself, or why she had shot 3 times into the wall. A great thriller, with a few…

One of the best books I have read. Yes it can be graphic but if you find that difficult to read, don't read this kind of book. I for one couldn't put it down.

I can't believe that Lisa Gardner actually wrote this book. The style is confusing, and jumps back and forth, not at all like her. Maybe this is what happens when writers are under pressure to put out a book every year. I wonder if ghost…

I love ALL of Lisa Gardner's Books...This one however is VERY graphic but amazing. Hard to put down. Lisa G is a Genius!

I suffered reading this book until page 193, then gave up and skipped through to the (already) predictable end. Very un..Lisa Gardner-like.

On page 63 and already thinking about jumping ship. Ms. Gardner's writing has gotten more violent the last few books she has written. Will put it aside for a while and reflect on whether I want to try again later. Not a feel good book,…

it was good. The last few chapters were a don't want to put it down because you want to know. I think it is amazing for a person to live a life of not feeling pain, that would not be something I would want to experience. The characters…

One of the best crime thrillers I have read in a long time. Great storyline. Very hard to put down.
