I will start off by saying I really enjoy Gaiman’s writing style - witty, eccentric, and always a sense of humor. Anansi Boys is no exception, enjoyable all the way through. That being said, the storyline was all over the place, a…

The second book by Neil Gaiman I read and I loved it. The twist was deliciously delivered and dissolved perfectly. I love how he seamlessly blends the world of the Gods.

I found this to be a good read overall. A bit on the "cozy" side but still full of humor and fun!

This wasn't one of my favorite books, but it did grow on me substantially when I read it for the second time (back-to-back; I was looking for a memorable quote that I never found). It's not Gaiman at his absolute best, but it is the level…

So good, but yes, probably not as interesting as American Gods, but it made me laugh out loud a few times. Fun language and back and forth...kind of reminded me of Joss Whedon dialog, that's high praise coming from me. Haven't laughed…

I didn't enjoy this quite as much as I did American Gods, but it was still delightful and exciting. It was not written as a sequel, but there are a few overlapping characters and ideas. I would really like to continue reading more.

A friend of mine describes this book as American Gods-light. Funny, magical, and provocative, it's part modern mythology, part murder mystery/thriller. I highly recommend the audiobook, narrated by Lenny Henry.

I looked at some of the other reviews of this book and can't really say anything new. Great book, not as good as "American Gods", not favorite from Gaiman, but it is definitely recommendable, especially if you liked "American Gods". Good,…

Can't say enough how much I love this novel. One thing Gaiman is really good at is hiding pretty deep stuff inside simplicity. The story itself is so clean and simple, but it still hits you with all kinds of good stuff to think about.

I do like how Fat Charlie starts to gain confidence as the story progresses, and how Spider starts to see the wrongs in his ways. I also like how Neil Gaiman, used the Anansi as the trickster in this story.

This is a somewhat disappointing follow-up to American Gods. Then again, it's probably not easy to write a sequel to a masterpiece.

A wonderful sequel to American Gods that did not live up to the brilliance of its predecessor.

Definitely in the same universe as American Gods, but a bit more light and funny to read. This being a Neil Gaiman book, there are still dark parts to go along with the levity.

I loved the folklore and familial aspects of the story. Stories and songs have carried the histories and myths of humans since the beginning - and I like how he weaves that tradition into his story and illustrates it within the family. I…

This was a pleasant and amusing read. I may have rated it higher if I hadn’t previously read Gaiman’s American Gods, in which I was delighted by Gaiman’s blend of myth, magic and reality. I was somehow hoping for more of the same from…

A very good read from the talented Neil Gaiman. If you enjoyed American Gods, you'll definitely find this book a treat since it's about Mr. Nancy's sons and their adventures.

One of the most memorable characters from American Gods comes back for another cameo. If you liked American Gods then you HAVE to read this one. Reading it, I was reminded of the Disney movie :Song of the South" and the tales of Brer…

This is one of my favourite Neil Gaiman novels (not including the graphic novels). When I start to read it again, I still find it hard to put down.

If you've read American Gods, welcome back to the same realm, but with a very different feel! (And based in different mythology.) An enjoyable and very Gaimany read.

I found it to be a stronger book than American Gods. Gaimain's sense of humor and his love for his characters shines through.
