Although not to modern film-making standards and the women are preachy, the recipes are simple yet elegant and tasty. It is a down-home presentation which has its charm. A must see is the short segment (3-5 minutes, I think) on the Farm Sanctuary, which I think is best watched after the cooking segments. Interestingly, all the recipes happen to be vegan. Beware that the chocolate cake recipe is a vegan version of the common wacky cake. I am sure it is equally delicious, though! I'm not vegetarian, but they did recommend and demonstrate a starch product to replace eggs, which impressed me enough that I will definitely look for that product. And who doesn't love a good peanut sauce for stirfries!? Mmm!
