I really enjoy this author and consider it well worthwhile to read everything she publishes, even when the odd one turns out to be just "nice". But the stories in this collection are real gems, each one pared down to the essential and exquisitely written core. Some are hilarious, some thoughtful, overall a terrific assortment. A nice touch is that the author reads it herself, so you hear it exactly as she intended.

A enjoyable cd to listen to as it consists of a series of short stories. Some are funny, a weight watcher gone awol, and some are poignant. The different moods and stories of the women featured here will surely capture your interest.
