I liked it, found it engaging, an excellent narrator, character development was extensive. Parts of it seemed a bit 'off' but I've learned to just go with the flow unless it's really disagreeable to me. I may listen to parts again as I liked the author's very detailed in descriptions. Reviews on Goodreads were extremely in the dislike. This is his first novel I think, it was not awful, not brilliant, each author has their own style, so give the man a chance.

A compelling and lyrical story of a boy, his family, and their relationship with each other and their dogs. A tale (no pun intended) interwoven with mystery and the supernatural. A long 'listen' (18 disks), but well worth the time.

Ok book. Did not like the ending. It was as if the author didn't know what to do anymore with the book.....

I listened to this story unfold while driving in my car, it is a captivating tale about a family who love & breed dogs.
A dog lovers audio book.
