An amazing book! Carl Anderson explains the meaning of every symbol on Our Lady's clothing, which read like a book to the native peoples. He explains the word Guadalupe as it was used here, since it's the name of a river in Spain. He explains the noble birth and education of (Saint) Juan Diego, and how he came to be one of the first converts to Catholicism.
I had thought to read a chapter or two, but was truly drawn in to the amazing history involved--even the constellations that appear on her garments are as seen from above looking through the universe onto the Earth!
This is eye-opening and riveting!
