this book is more about Munroe than crows

I don't see many crows where I live, but this book has motivated me to be more observant about nature in general.

Haupt shares her struggles and joys along with her observations about crows.

I disagree with bbermingham's description of the narration as "the smug self-satisfied tone of an uptight Seattleite". This sounds like a reader with an unreasonable chip on his/her shoulder. By all means read "Gift of the Crow" ...but it is a another book. Read both!

Read "Gift of the Crow" by Marzluff instead. This book is mostly an autobiography of Haupt and unfortunately her narration has the smug self-satisfied tone of an uptight Seattleite. She uses some of Marzluff's research in the text, go straight to the source instead.
