This is the 4th book in the Father John O'Malley mystery series by Margaret Coel, set on the Arapaho Wind River Reservation in Wyoming. I think this is the best book of the series that I have read so far. These books are fun to read and the clues throughout the books are interesting and make you think and puzzle at who, what, and where! I like the way the author weaves Native American history, life, and customs, into the narrative, making the mystery grow out of the culture and not the other way around. This particular book was quite interesting because the center of attention was on a very valuable and rare book of Arapaho history, written not in words but pictures or pictographs.
