I've read two of these and will keep reading them. The afterword by Martin explains a significant impetus the authors took on this particular story about child soldiers - or child "aces" subverted. Speculative fiction as the sugar coating to educate us about some of the world events a lot of us don't follow here in North America. I want to see what other social issues they tackle!

One of the better books of the series. The entire series is fantastic, & I hope the rumours of a television series similar to Gamnes of Thrones come to life.

A story in the superhero genre intelligently addressing genocide, rape camps and child soldiers. A gem.
