I remember and liked many of his songs. There were even a couple that I had forgot that they were his.

I liked him better than my hard rock self realized!

R.I.P. Glen Campbell

So much fun to hear these great Glen Campbell songs of the 1960's and '70's!! So sad to see him later in life fighting dementia. I have loved some of these songs for 50 years. Highly recommend!! Kristi & Abby Tabby

Born in Billstown, Arkansas (1936) - (singer/songwriter/guitarist) Glen Travis Campbell was best known for a series of hit songs he recorded in the 1960s and 1970s, and for hosting a music and comedy variety show called "The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour" on CBS television, from January 1969 through June 1972.

Campbell released over 70 albums in a career that spanned five decades, accumulating over 45 million record sales, worldwide, including 12 gold albums, four platinum albums, and one double-platinum album.

This "Greatest Hits" CD contains 16 tracks in all which were recorded by Campbell (with accompanying musicians) primarily in the years from 1968-1975. Three of my favourite tunes here are - "Gentle on My Mind", "By the Time I Get to Phoenix", and "Wichita Lineman".

*Note* - In 2017 - Glen Campbell (81 at the time) died following a long, hard battle with Alzheimer's disease.

Glen Campbell is a great singer. All of the songs were great. Highly recommended.

If you're up to hearing some really first-rate country music from the 1960s and 70s, then check out this "Greatest Hits" CD, featuring the singing talents of Glen Campbell (who also played guitar and co-wrote some of these tunes, as well).

A 4-time Grammy Award winner, Glen Campbell (born 1936) sings some of his most popular songs on this 16-song disc, such as - Country Boy, Try A Little Kindness, Wichita Lineman, and Southern Nights, to name but a few.

After fifty years in the music business, Campbell has recorded 70 albums and sold nearly 45 million records, worldwide.

Sad to say - Today, Glen Campbell (now 78 years old) permanently resides as a patient at an Alzheimer's long-term care and treatment facility.
