I absolutely love this book. Mary Beth was my favorite character. I feel sorry for Sawyer though he was a little bit scornful, and prideful also. I know that the people at the foster home beat him, but it is because he tries to escape to many times when he has been warned many times also. I still LOVE this book though. I like the third book better though. But this book takes place in second. The Hide and Secret one was more interesting and drew me more into the book and I finished it in two days because it was so mysterious and I really wanted to know what happened next!
