"Brontorina the Apatosaurus is a ballerina at heart, but she is (as instructor Madame Lucille points out) "rather large" and does not have the proper shoes. Nevertheless, Madame Lucille admits Brontorina into her Dance Academy for Girls and Boys - which, by the end of this warmly funny and inspiringly inclusive tale, has suffered a number of holes in its ceiling and gets moved to a ranch and renamed Madame Lucille's Outdoor Dance Academy for Girls and Boys and Dinosaurs (and Cows). This story of following one's dreams strikes a perfect balance between humour and elegance." Picture Books December 2012 Newsletter

This book not only shows that dreams can come true, no matter how big the odds, but it contains a good dose of humour and even names a few ballet terms.

This is a heartwarming tale of a dinosaur who wants to be a ballerina and she overcomes the prejudice of those in the dance community who think she is too big to dance. Beautifully illustrated, you will find yourself tearing up with joy as you read the last page. A truly inspirational tale for all ages.

No matter what size or shape you are - you can still do what you want to do. A lovely message for children.
