In Office Hours starts slow but picks up speed as two office romances develop and pick up steam within the upper-management levels of Atlantic Energy, a British oil company. The writing can be a little dry for those not used to wry British humor, but as the twists and turns pile up, the participants in these workplace relationships find themselves in increasingly awkward situations; and the reader should find themselves laughing at the absurdity of the attempts made to keep the trysts in hotel rooms and London flats a secret from both others at the firm and the spouses and families of the married participants.
