I enjoyed this book. Set around the Casey family. Mark the adult son lives in the city and is writing a thesis. A project his farmer father does not understand. The underlying conflict between son and father comes to a head when tragedy strikes and they are left on their own to try and come to terms with their personal loss and to try and make some sort of sense of their tenuous relationship.
