These audiobook narrations are very enjoyable. Marc Thompson always does a great job with with putting in lots of expression and including a wide range of different voices for all the characters. His Thrawn voice is wonderful!! His imitation of Harrison Ford and Admiral Ackbar are also pretty good. I think the music and sound effects add life to the different scenes, and this is the closet I get to imagining what a movie of this book would be like.
I'd recommend fans of the Thrawn Trilogy listen to this because it's just fun to sit back and listen to. My only complaint is that Marc Thompson should have had a girl help him with the female voices. He tires, but well, since he's not a girl, some of the female voices just don't work.

I was very impressed with the narration, Marc does a great job at replicating the voices of key characters, I would definitely recommend a listen! Grand Admiral Thrawn is an excellent villain, and I was left wishing that there were audiobooks of the two books following, as the story had me hooked.

Bearing in mind, it is written for the YA crowd, I guess it was OK. This story made me curious about characters that haven't made it into the movies (yet?), but do give potential background for The Force Awakens. Didn't like the additional abilities given to Wookies and one in particular; this angle seemed silly and would have been apparent before now, I'd think. A Legends story, so I just rolled with it.

This book/recording was way better than I expected it to be.
