Definitely not an actual self-help book, but it did achieve its main conceit: reminding me I made a healthy, sane choice for a significant other. McCarthy's foibles were sometimes common ground, but more often than not mildly annoying and her husband's quirks much the same. The pace is quick, the chapters short, and still I skipped over bits. Your mileage will vary, but it's a fast read and made me grin.

Marriage is hard. Marriage is weird. But marriage can be amazing, even in the moments of weirdness. Reading McCarthy's book was like sitting around with your closest girlfriend and dishing about your husbands. Her book is a quick, entertaining read that helps put into perspective that all marriages are odd. And each person in the couple has habits that will try to drive the other insane but in the end, if you can find some common ground (or at least compromise) you can be successful in your relationship.

I haven't read this book, but it's probably pretty funny.

First let me say, most of annoying habits Jenna talks about do not apply to my husband. However, the anecdotes were funny none the less.
