They call this stuff "noise pop". It is fun and catchy, yet creative enough to prevent you from throwing your soundsystem against a wall after a few listens. Nice.
Eh. I don't know... I've listened to both albums by this duo, and it just doesn't grab me. I think this one is a little better than the first one, but it still sounds generic and uninspired to me.
When I first put this CD on I hated it. By the second song I was totally hooked. I don't know how ironic this band is but the 80s shred metal guitar fronted by gorgeous female vocals actually works. It falters a bit at the end but Born to Lose might get stuck in your head for days.
