I cannot say why exactly, but this book failed to grab me and I simply could not get into it. It was difficult enough to give it the 100-paget test before I gave up

Fast Read and keeps your interest - nice to have a new hero in their mix

Second in series - read Gideon's Sword first.

Excellent, fast read, good plot.

A bit too many outliers within the story that slowed down the pace of the story. Also, one impossible episode caving in a deep old mine with only a cigaret lighter! The wrap up however is good. But bring back Agent Aloysius XL Pendergast!

Another wild ride from Preston and Child. Although I do not enjoy this series quite as much as the Aloysius Pendergast novels, this is still a lot of fun. I enjoyed this second Gideon Crew book even more than the first.

Preston & Child have something in this Gideon guy! I like him and I like what they're doing with him.
