While Season 1 remains the best season of this series, and Season 2 the worst; Season 4 lived up to the overall reputation of this series and did a great job setting up the viewer for Season 5. The plot line for Season 4 had a few bumps along the way, however overall a hit

Glenn Close is back as the morally ambiguous Patty Hewes and her on going relationship with Rose Byrne as her protege Ellen Parsons. One of the best things about this series is the development of the relationship between the two female leads. Do they like each other? The viewer doesn't really know at this point, but they do need each other. It is a very complex relationship and is fascination to see develop. If you have not seen this series before, I highly recommend it, and you must also watch it from the first series episode and don't skip any or else you just won't get what is going on.

Except for season 1, season 4 was the best so far, exposing the hypocrisy and corruption rampant in the US occupation of Afghanistan.

This season was a great disappointment. Terrible ending. Not even Judd Hirsch and John Goodman could save this mess.

Ellen Parsons and Patty Hewes file a civil action lawsuit against a formidable foe in season four of Damages. An illegal black ops mission in Afghanistan goes wrong and three employees of a corrupt security firm are killed. Billions of dollars in government contracts are at stake and there are only a few witnesses to collaborate any wrongdoing by the security firm. The security firm a well as their CIA handlers will stop at nothing to sabatoge Ellen's and Patty's wrongful death lawsuit.
