If you’re a Walking Dead fan just getting into the comics, or still need to find some closure from the season six cliffhanger, then this volume is a great read. It’s in the same timeframe as season six. There are two communities introduced, there are new allies, and a new enemy. The enemy of course is Negan and his saviours. He introduces himself by brutally murdering a beloved character to break Rick Grimes. The difference between the comics and the show is that we see who Negan killed with his Lucille. As well as another character death beforehand. It’s a start to this bumpy road that fans will have with Negan. You won’t know whether to hate or love him. Negan is fearful and charming to a point that it makes him a great villain. He also adds a bit of comedy to this dark series. Altogether, this volume will make you go to “Pee Pee Pants City” when you’re done.
