I was a bit mislead by the title. These are memoirs from LCdr Denver's career, not detailed psychology, training regimen, or battle advice from a SEAL. I guess those are still secret. I feel like SEALs have been getting pushed into more publicity lately which, as Denver discusses, is a bit against their culture. He very gently tiptoes around this, or it was edited out by Washington. Still, somewhere out therr are even more heroes who dont get this same level of publicity (cough JTF2 cough). Just this week a SEAL was awarded the Medal of Honor, huge huge publicity. I guess thats still part of the drive to make more SEALs which is discussed in Damn Few

The main element that sets this apart from other SEAL memoirs is that Mr. Denver was also a SEAL trainer, and goes in the philosophy and methodology of SEAL training. Goes into the internal debate when they were ordered to 'make' more SEALs. This is only about a quarter of the book however, the rest is standard (by SEAL memoir standards).
