What a package! A cd and a dvd of the "Woody Guthrie at 100!" "Live at the Kennedy Center". The music and video are great. It was only fitting that a tribute to Woody have artists that are going their own way like Woody. Songwriters like Old Crow Medicine Show, Joel Rafael, Jimmy LaFave, John Leventhal, Tom Morello, Dan Gellert, and family members like Nora Guthrie. Ramblin' Jack Elliott has never stopped singing Woody Guthrie songs over his 50 plus year career. Judy Collins has been devoted to Woody's music and she does a beautiful job singing Woody's famous song "Pastures of Plenty". KCLS has other fine recording of Woody Guthrie, but this would probably be the only CD and DVD combination of his music. Just think, Woody would be and 102 now and his music is still being heard by future generations. I think he is very happy to see his music so popular, especially with young people. Woody did children's records as well as adult music. Thanks Woody!!
P.S. Thanks to bookwormjeph for your review stating "A great fitting tribute". As always, I would welcome your reaction to the recording here at KCLS web site.

A great fitting tribute to one of, if not
THE best folk songwriter of the 20th century, by a varied selection of folk/country singers who all state how much Woody influenced their own writings, singing and careers in the music industry. Tribute albums usually do not smoke my tyres but this one did.
