Questlove is one of the founders of The Roots, a hip hop/neo soul band that is currently the house band for The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon. This is his very charming and poetic memoir full of a love of music. Don't expect lots of stories about The Tonight Show. Even if you're not a fan of The Roots and/or hip hop, you'll still enjoy entering the mind of one of the most vital musical geniuses alive today and hearing the stories he has to tell. Why yes, that IS indeed what I am talking about. This man is ERUDITE (and , of course, bad*ss). His musical memory is frighteningly vivid. Better learn up on some vintage soul if you aren't already happily swimming in it. There are fish who know it's water and those who don't. Get rhythm. It's a lot of things. -ER
