This was a good movie. Exciting, funny, and in a way slightly educational. At least the bonus features are. To thequeen 13, Josh Hutcherson voices Nod (the boy MK falls in love with).

My boys loved this movie. They are 5 and 8. It is original, action packed and the slug and snail are hilarious!

Entertaining and inventive on the level of the individual creatures, Leafmen and Boggins, but the broad story is trite.

I enjoyed the movie but what a horrible message to send to kids that decay (Bogins) are evil and bad and must be destroyed for a forest to survive. Not so. The movie could have made it more clear that decay and growth are a dynamic system for a healthy forest - a PROCESS not dualistic good versus evil. Studio Ghibli knows how to write that into a good children's story.

Frightening or Intense Scenes: Could be kinda creepy for little kids. Could MAYBE give them nightmares, depending on scenes.

Violence: Some suspense and violence. Someone is shot with an arrow, however, we don't see the arrow impale the body. Not for kids under, say, 8 or 9.

this movie is about a teenage girl (I think) who has to live in the middle of a forest with her dad because her mom died. She thinks her dad is a bit nuts because he thinks there are a magical world of tiny people who live in the Forest, until she is shrunk into their size to help save the people's world from evil.

MK: Wow. It hasn't changed a bit.
Dad: Everything's still the same! Your old bed, posters, turtle... oh dear.
