Blood Brother
Rocky went to India as a disillusioned tourist with no close family of his own. When he met a group of children with HIV, he decided to stay and devote his life to them. To the children, he becomes 'Rocky Anna, ' or brother. The documentary features longtime friend Steve Hoover, as he traces Rocky's story of working in the village of Tamil Nadu, India for five years. The film illustrates his commitment to the children and their families who face life-and-death situations on a daily basis.

I have watched this one several times. It is very good! It shows that anyone can make a difference in other people's lives! Well done.. It seems to miss some factual info and editing could have been better. Yet, I highly recommend it! Make sure to watch the Bonus section.

This movie puts this world into perspective, challenges the sense of meaning and purpose in each of us and answers what it is to be human.

This documentary is such a very common human story, with all of its foibles and issues. And yet, it is so very poignant, heartfelt and heartbreaking, and reminds us that all any of us are looking for is to belong to the human family, and wish to find the value in what ultimately provides us with fulfillment as people.

An amazingly simple movie providing a clarity we rarely allow ourselves to experience.

I highly recommend this movie to anyone who questions the impact one person can have in this large and often confused world. I also encourage viewers to take the time to watch the many extras on the DVD.

caring man this Rocky is. I

to everyone who wants to truly
see a shiny example of selflessness
and compassion.

A very powerful film. If you are from the younger generation - Rocky Anna is a guy who "put his money where his mouth is" so to speak. He didn't talk about making a difference, he committed to it. If you are part of the older generation, and wonder how well these 'whipper-snappers' are going to take care of this place... Rocky Anna is a source of hope and inspiration.

I saw this special on PBS and then on DVD. So amazing. Really makes me think, could I give everything up to help others? Finished in tears. I wish some people (famous) would watch this and realize material things won't bring happiness. Use that money for the goof of others. These kids are desperate. A MUST SEE!
