The above site listed all the topics discussed and worth exploring in depth. e.g: Was Mary Magdalene an apostle? Does Ruth try to seduce Boaz? Does the Bible condone sexual promiscuity for the sake of procreation? Does Jesus’ kindness to the prostitute in Luke 7 means he is “open” to different sexual lifestyles? Were David and Jonathan Lovers etc. etc. etc.

The material presented is without much substance, but they try to present it as something groundbreaking and shocking. Secrets revealed? Hardly. Not worth checking out.

The History Channel has done it again very well done documentary series. This movie was interesting, informative, and worse seeing!! I recommend this movie for all to see. Well worth the price of admission to any theater.

Admittedly I am not the ideal audience for this. This series of documentaries comes from History Television and A&E, and it's a relatively recent one. Perhaps that should be the first warning about its quality. In the hands of better filmmakers, the material at hand, much of it treading familiar ground already, theories about theology and history, would be better presented. This, however, is done in the standard History way of the last few years, bouncing around, lacking focus, using endless quick cut edits and overly wrought music to try to deflect from the fact that the documentary material itself is weak. Skip it in favour of a documentary that takes on some of the same area, but understands how to be professional and focused.
