I am not sure what to make of this book. I think those of us who understand the importance of visionary ideas, and how we often get stomped on by those who do not get our thinking, do not really need a book like this (we get it). Those who do not get it, I fear, will still not get it even after reading this book.
Kobi Yamada's writing and Mae Besom's illustrations combine in a wonderful uplifting story that can help adults and children alike. Highly appropriate for all audiences.
Suitable for children, new graduates, and adults (much like Dr Seuss's 'Oh, the Places You'll Go!'), this little story encourages readers to embrace, develop, and have confidence in their little ideas, which can turn out to be big ideas.
Imaginative and expansive, an excellent journey describing how ideas stay with us, even if we often wish they weren't there! The ideas that belong to us will not leave us and when they brought forth and given life, our idea bursts forth and joyfully colours our world. A beautiful way to encourage young dreamers to listen to inner idea teller.
An amazing story about letting an idea grow and not giving up because of what other people say. A story that can be shared with children, read and re-read, giving us an incredible opportunity to talk with children about their ideas and letting them grow!
Inspiring and encouraging in many ways for all ages! Learning to appreciate and trust your inner wisdom is one of the most rewarding, and ongoing, life lessons!
This is a masterwork. The Japanese-effused artwork is just as inspiring as the story. I read this book to my 2.5-year-old son this evening and he was speechless-- absolutely immersed in it. I don't think the word 'idea' was in his vocabulary before tonight. This book was a wonderful way to introduce him to the concept.
This book immediately tugs on your heart strings as you watch a child's idea grow. The illustrations are exquisite, becoming more and more colorful as the idea takes shape.
