"Cat Benoit has finally escaped the past- and the man who was the sources of her nightmares. She's off the grid, underground but watchful, and creating a new life for herself in Texas, far from the dangers of her native New Orleans. She's safe. He'll never find her this time. Cat has to believe that. It's the only thing keeping her sane. Yet she can't escape the attention of Ridley Cromer, the instructor at the martial arts dojo where Cat takes lessons. She arouses the animal in Ridley- and something feral comes to life when their body heat rises. Cat is in no position to let her guard down with anyone, especially someone who could be endangered by her past. But Ridley has secrets of his own- secrets only Cat would understand. If she dares trust him."-- back cover

I have read many bad mystery books, but this one is the worse I have ever read. I enjoy sex in the plot but this was a waste of paper , only the last 2 chapters were worth reading. Doubt I will ever read another Christine Feehan book.

Unlike SOME people, I "got" the story, including the sex. *rolls eyes* Anyway, I loved the book. Christine repeats a lot but then, what author doesn't? Duh! I won't go any further. I plan on "behaving". A GREAT read. Happy Reading!

worst feehan book of all
no real plot
gratuitous sex
not like ANY other of her books

Save yourself a lot of time and read the first third of the book and then skip to Chptr 19. The middle dribble is not worth the bother.

There is no connection with the characters. The male lead was simply not likable. I kept hoping the woman would walk from this relationship and I also hoped the bad guy was just misunderstood.

This book actually represents an abusive relationship.
You will do as I say, baby
I make the rules, baby
You will do as your told, baby
You cannot go out with out me by your side, baby
You will wear what I tell you, baby
You will behave the way I tell you to, baby
Blah blah baby blah
This is another Christine Feehan book where the dialogue contains the word baby over and over and over again. Wish she would use a thesaurus.

I gave up at around page 200. I just couldn't read any more. This one is so bad I hurt for the author. Who convinced her that this was worthy of publishing under her own name?!?
This used to be one of my favorite authors; she wrote interesting plots with a little love life in it.
This book, I'm sorry to say, has a plot that's gotten drowned in the tons of unrealistic porn. I mean, really...a YOUNG woman who has never been kissed, has never had even simple friendships with either gender, is going to go down on a guy before the first time?!? Seriously?!? Get real, CF.

Cat is on the run from a nasty man, Eli is more than he seems but is immediately fascinated by her. There's a lot of repetition but there's a lot of love between these two..

Cat's Lair will not disappoint. It is a great love story very intense very erotic. This series gets better and better. Enjoy!
