Giselle had lived the first fourteen years of her life in an abandoned monastery tower. As a young Air Master, she needed to be kept isolated during her potentially tumultuous adolescent years. When a young man appears at the base of her tower, he convinces Giselle to help him climb up-- and attempts to force himself upon her. Thus begins a series of adventures that lead to Giselle becoming an expert markswoman, traveling with an American Wild West Show touring the German countryside.

I was not impressed with this novel. After the first few chapters, the only resemblance to the fairy tale it is supposed to be based off is the main character's hair-which isn't kept long but grows very quickly.
