WOW Kelsey Grammer is AMAZING! Many actors fall into ditches after carrying a character like Frazier on their backs for years. Ten minutes into this and you forget the lovable pompous on air shrink ever existed. Grammers portrayal of a hard nosed gritty asshole is wonderful. Add to that the character's huge secret he's hiding, top it off with great writing and you have the perfect recipe for successful tv. Usually not to hip on Starz productions but glad i made an exception in this case.

Mayor Tom Kane is finding it more and more difficult to deal with his lewy body dementia and tremors in season two of Boss. Tom's top aide, Ezra Stone, was assassinated at the end of season one and Tom continues to hallucinate his presence during season two. Kitty O'Neill, Tom's other top aide, was fired at the end of season one and so she begins working for a woman candidate for governor. Two new aides are hired to help Tom manage his mayoral duties. Mona Fredricks, a black female, is hired because she has close ties to a predominately black neighborhood scheduled for demolition and rebuilding. Ian Todd is also hired as a temporary aide on loan from an alderwoman. It soon becomes apparent that Ian has his own agenda as well as a secret background. Various scandals, an assassination attempt, the heated governor's race and money troubles for the City of Chicago are the main storylines in season two. Unfortunately the series was cancelled; however, it is rumored that a movie may be made to finish the storylines.
