I enjoyed this book mostly for its evocative portrayal of Seattle, complete with beautiful historic areas as well as construction and tear-downs. It was part travel brochure, part adventure story, and an all-around fun read.

I love the immersive quality of the book, and how it goes from a standard text based book into graphic novel format for the more dramatic or action based scenes. May is sort of dealing with the loss of her best friend, Libby, but she feels like there's more to the story than what she knows. This seems to be true when she starts coming across depictions of the character she and Libby created: Princess X. If only they knew about her, then how is she suddenly everywhere? That's what turns this book into a mystery that I could not wait to get to the bottom of and find out the truth.

I was expecting a book more about dealing with grief, but was surprised to find myself reading a mystery adventure book. I loved the format, which mixes comics in with the regular novel, and it was fun to try to figure out the clues along the way. Overall, I think this is a highly readable friendship adventure book. Would recommend!

I loved this book because of all the twists. It was a mystery that kept me guessing to the end. I think it was well written and incorporated some comics very well. I definitely recommend to people who like fiction.

This book started out SO COOL. And then the death of the friend make it take an exciting turn. And then it fell flat and predictable. I will say, I liked that there was no romance of any sort and it was a mystery about friendship. The whole plot was highly unrealistic and quite fantastical for my taste, especially when it started out so interesting and then the conspiracy theory plot threw it in the wrong direction. I wish it had continued being as awesome as it was at the beginning.

* I love the unique format of this mystery/thriller. It's part comic book and part regular novel.

* The Seattle setting is so well drawn that I can practically taste the coffee.

* However, the main character prefers hot chocolate over coffee. I like a girl who knows her own mind and is brave enough to be different.

* I enjoyed the themes of friendship and hope. Although it certainly had its spooky and tense moments, this book is not as dark and gritty as the typical thriller.

Great beginning with an interesting plot. Got kinda bored though, could've had more action.

May loses her best friend in a car accident. Together they had created a comic strip called Princess X. Three years later May is visiting her Dad and notices Princess X stickers around town. Is Libby still alive? I enjoyed solving the mystery through the clues of the webcomic and seeing the comics in the books.
