Different than I expected, I had hoped for a lot more engaging discussion of contents of classics, which might encourage me to pick up some of my own. I think it may encourage some, but I honestly find it a dull read, and I used to academic writing, stopped reading before end of first chapter and skimmed other material. It is still a "good" book, it just seems very narrowly for someone who is almost more interest in learning to self-study than learn about the classics?
