The Complete Second Season

The sophomore season of the hit tech-centered drama hits the ground running. It's March 1985. More than a year has passed since Joe MacMillan set fire to a truck full of Cardiff Giant PCs, the last in a long string of destructive acts that burned the people that made the machine possible. The Giant is about to go the way of the dinosaur, like any number of personal computers to enter the market in the wake of IBM. The lesson is harsh but clear.

Season 2 does an excellent job at building on the foundation established in it's debut season. The show is just as unique and gripping as season 1, but adds depth and wonderful character development. Lee Pace brings a human element that had been lacking in Joe McMillan. Scoot McNairy's protrail as Gordon Clark continues to get better and better. His search for identity and purpose comes across as deeply genuine and sincere. Mackenzie Davis continues to give Cameron Howe lifeblood and self assurance. The biggest change is watching Donna Clark, played by Kerry Bishe, come into her own and be a real player this season. All together, this show is one of the most under appreciated on AMC. It has quickly become one of my favorites!
