In Fort Connor, Colorado, the friends at the House of Lambspun knitting shop are welcoming a new face into the fold. Shy, sweet, and pregnant Nancy Marsted would like to knit a baby hat, and the Lambspun ladies are happy to show her the ropes. Sharing their own pregnancy yarns, they soon learn that the baby's father isn't the man Nancy dreamed he was. Then one dark night a speeding car mows down the dad to be and strikes a cyclist. Worried that a crazed killer is on the loose, the knitters put down their needles and cut to the chase.

I have always enjoyed her books. Yes a lot of errors in Grammer, but one can excuse it. Will be interesting on how Kelly will deal with motherhood. She and Steve will never lack sitters.

I am so done with this series! This is the 14th book in the series, and I foolishly keep hoping that the author's writing style will improve, but after all these years, she still writes in very juvenile, choppy manner. She also writes as if the reader has such a low IQ that s/he can't figure out who is who and what is going on. Starting out a paragraph with "Boyfriend Steve...", or "Waitress Jennifer..."? Really? Really? At least in the earlier books, the grammar was correct, but in this book, the grammatical errors started already on page 32. Just because cozy mysteries are designed to be "easy reads", doesn't mean that they can't be "easy, intelligent reads". I highly recommend that you skip this series. If you love a good cozy, as I do, your time would be far better spent trying out some of the following series: "Lighthouse Library Mysteries" by Eva Gates, "Paws and Claws Mysteries" by Krista Davis, "Odelia Grey Mysteries" and "Granny Apple Mysteries" by Sue Ann Jaffarian, "Enchanted Garden Mysteries" by Bailey Cattrell, "Magical Bakery Mysteries" by Bailey Cates, "Carpenter and Quincannon Mysteries" by Marcia Muller, "Book Retreat Mysteries" by Ellery Adams, "Book Collector Mysteries" by Victoria Abbott, "Coffee House Mysteries" by Cleo Coyle, "Bakeshop Mysteries" by Ellie Alexander, "Pawsitively Organic Mysteries" by Liz Mugavero, and of course, "Stephanie Plum series" by Janet Evanovich.
